The Face Reality Clear Skin Method is a structured acne clearing program, not a series of facials. It works through the combination of biweekly corrective acne treatments and a customized home care regimen adjusted to your skin at every visit. Most clients clear in three to four months.
What the program asks of you -
- An acne treatment every two weeks
- Daily home care*, morning and night
- Face Reality products only for the duration of the program
*Home care is purchased at your first visit and is required. The products do most of the clearing work between appointments, and treatments are not performed for clients who aren't using their prescribed regimen. Your regimen is adjusted as your skin builds tolerance, so plan for additional products over the course of the program.
Before your first appointment
Intake forms are emailed after booking and should be completed and returned at least 24 hours ahead, along with clear photos of your skin. This lets your consultation move quickly so more of your visit goes to treatment. Please arrive without makeup if you can.
Currently using a prescription acne medication?
Prescription topicals need to be stopped before Boot Camp treatments can begin, because combining them with Face Reality's active products can damage your skin. Differin, Retin-A, tretinoin, Clindamycin, Epiduo and similar prescription retinoids or topical antibiotics need two weeks off before your first appointment. Accutane and its equivalents need at least one month.

What to expect in the first few weeks?
Acne takes up to 90 days to form beneath the surface. When clearing begins, the lesions already developing in your pores come up so they can be extracted. You may see breakouts in the early weeks that feel like a setback. They aren't — that's congestion leaving your skin instead of staying trapped in it.
This adjustment phase, sometimes called purging, is normal and temporary. It's also manageable. Harmeet extracts at every visit, eases your regimen if your skin needs a gentler pace, and adds calming steps to keep you comfortable while your skin settles. You won't be working through it alone between appointments.
Most clients see breakouts reducing in number and severity by around eight weeks, with clearing continuing through the three to four month mark.
